I’m not sure I could give you a quantifiable reason why, but 23 feels a hell of a lot older than 22. Maybe it’s the adult-style job and solo apartment. Maybe it’s the winter depression. When does Spring start again? (Jimmy is not responsible for any lack of knowledge regarding seasonal date ranges).

I sent out my first record review as a sort of feeler; both to see where my own writing skills were at, and to gauge interest levels amongst my friends and family (and to hopefully expand beyond them). I was ecstatic to hear back such positive responses, even warranting some to suggest that I inspired them people to explore their own creative sides (❗️). That particularly meant a lot to me, as someone who struggles with holding onto fleeting creative thoughts. Grip onto them tight.

Now I realize it has been a few months since my last post, and although I’d like to blame it on a lack of major album releases, that’s a lame excuse. Moving forward, I will be releasing a new record review every other Friday, beginning this week. Any artist. Any genre. If anyone is interested in hearing my take on a particular album that week, or any time at all, feel free to leave a comment in the section below. Any and all input greatly appreciated.
